90s Talk Show – Sex & Relationships

Lisa and Linda tell their story, for each of them it was love. Linda technically had him first but, she said Lisa set her up from the start.

Lisa disagrees with that characterization. She was very close to Chris for years before they were even together. Linda was hardly even dating the man for boys, and they were broken up when it happened. Of course, Lisa admits to setting up Linda with Chris just so she could get closer to Chris.

The story comes grudgingly out, as we hear Chris has done jail time but got out early because of overcrowding. He says he never heard from her after their brief meeting. Linda jumps in to say she was writing with him at jail. Chris later says it wasn't planned with Lisa, they were just getting along really great as friends...

The plot thickens as it turns out Lisa gave up her twins for adoption, and each set was born with asthma. As audience questions come in Linda tries to explain her 'fascination with black culture'.

This segment closes with Lisa defending her choice to put her twins up for adoption. Her sister claims she only kept the kids around to please Chris, and sister Linda takes the high road and says she'll raise the kids herself.

July 23rd, 1992. Geraldo Rivera on his namesake talk show introduces us to Debbie, who spends Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday with her husband Kevin, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday with her fiance Rob.

"Well I've been with a few fish in the sea, and...I've never felt the way I do this woman. .... We're open minded, we share a lot of affection when we're together."

The conversation moves on to what led Debbie, Kevin and Rob into this situation. After the spark had died Debbie talks about how they were willing to try anything to stay together, and had even brought another girl into the relationship.

Today in 2025 relationships remain multi-faceted, with different strokes for different folks.

September 20th, 1993. Geraldo Rivera on his namesake talk show introduces us to Alexander, a man that originally said he didn't mind sharing his wife with another man or woman.

"What Alex told his wife Angela was she could have all the lesbian affairs she wanted, as long as he was a part.."

This segment is interspersed with clips from an earlier episode showing the same man in a similar situation.

We meet the current couple before meeting Angela who was eventually cut out of the relationship. Angela details how Bridgette was originally her lesbian lover, before stealing boyfriend Alex and dumping her.

1995. Geraldo on his namesake talk show introduces Bobbi Lee and Mike, sometimes called "Psycho Mike" by his friends. It's only been a few months they've known each other, but Mike has given her his car, flowers almost every week, and lots of love letters -- Bobbi says they're not going out together, but is she leading him on?

"Have you ever heard the phrase, get a life?"

Later in the segment we hear from PHD Lillian Glass, author of 'Toxic People'. Lillian has read the love letters backstage and tries to get some responsbility out of Bobbi.

"How do you say no to him?"

Relationships remain tricky in 2025 and jealousy only makes things worse. It takes two to tango.

1974. Geraldo Rivera on his Good Night America news program brings us star of the erotic 'Behind the Green Door' and other films.

"..this is gonna be the in thing...I felt it'd be nice to do as a challenge as an actress, because there were no spoken words in the film.."

Ms. Chambers details why she chose the work she does, what it means for the rest of her professional career. Later in the segment Chuck Traynor, Linda Lovelace's ex-husband is on the show where he talks about working in the emerging adult entertainment industry.

The hardcore pornographic 'Behind the Green Door' was released in 1972. Marilyn Chambers passed away in 2009.

October 16th, 1995. Geraldo Rivera on his namesake talk show brings us the story of twin brothers who dated the same woman.

"I don't know how she could do something to him like that, I mean he is the sweetest guy..."

We hear the details of how Jamie and Laurie were going steady, only for Laurie to connect with his twin brother while Jamie is away on a fishing trip. Jamie and his current girlfriend Kelly are on stage, while twin brother Joey and Laurie come on the set later in this segment to set things straight. The story remains disputed.

July 16th, 1992. Geraldo Rivera on his namesake talk show brings us 'Vamps vs. Virgins' and an interview with Rachel English author of 'My first 500'.

"When I wrote my book, I remember the 500 I had put in that book, and I obviously forgot about some people and they complained about being left out of the book..."

Dr. Ruth Westheimer also joins the segment to discuss, and the importance of protection. Use a condom!

1990s. In this exclusive stock footage we hear about young girls working as hookers on the street about what they're lives are like

"Because you don't have no childhood..when you get stuck into the group homes, the foster homes....you have to think of what's gonna happen next."

We also hear from a NYC city official tracking youngsters who ran away from home and ended up murdered. The clip is interspersed with undercover footage of men on the street promising to provide for the women.

May 25th, 1993. Geraldo Rivera's namesake talk show introduces us to a family with big currents underneath the polished middle class veneer.

"So other 17 year old kids with a license they deliver Dominos pizzas, you deliver hookers to the john..."

Trish tells her story, she's been married for 25 years while simultaneously building up over 300 personal clients in the prostitution business. Her pice is $160 per hour.

The children speak, most seem to work with their parents in the escort service. While they overall don't like it very much, the children recognize how this business has gotten them the things they have today. It beats welfare.

The segment ends with some chaos as Athena, a 14 year old daughter, breaks down amid what she sees as attacks on her family from the studio audience. She only came on the show for her mom.

While prostitution continues in 2026 and is legal in some parts of the U.S.A., it is rarely a family business.
