May 2nd, 1995. Geraldo Rivera’s namesake talk show introduces us to Vanessa, who doesn’t want her sister traveling the same hard road she’s had.

Vanessa describes her beginnings in a foster home, being raped soon after she made love for the first time ever, and her reasons for walking the street. Later when her partner found out about her activities, Vanessa turned to crack and had trouble being satsified without the fast-paced nigiht life. We then hear from Vanessa who was impressed with the lifestyle and wanted the money too. She describes the downhill journey that started with the consumption and selling of crack. How can Jennifer know so much about her sister’s failings and still be walking down the same road?
Towards the end of this segment these two sisters are surprisingly confronted with their mother, who is brought on stage. She had thought her daughter was dead for 13 years and the reunion is a tearful one. After Mom’s reaction to her two daughters, one of whom is still druggin’ and hookin’, the long lost grandson is brought on stage. Can a reunion get this family back on track?
In 2026 drugs and other social issues continue to tear families apart, although they are rarely reunited as they were here.
