1999. Peace talks may dominate the rest of the world, but at the front lines this war continues apace. Behind Serbian lines with the KLA this story details the trip from Albania into liberated Kosovo and then to the front. We learn about potential NATO friendly fire and see the method of warfare in this recent conflict.
We also meet volunteer fighters with the KLA from New York and the United States. Evidence showing Russian and former soviet bloc citizens fighting on the other side is also presented.
The war in Kosovo was fought between Federal Republic of Yugoslavia forces and Albanian separatists known as the Kosovo Liberation Army. The war ended and NATO forces entered Kosovo in June, 1999.
