July 22nd, 1996. Geraldo Rivera on his namesake talk show hosts Heidi Von Betlz and ‘bestie’ Melanie Griffith to talk about her life and times, 16 years after a fateful stunt accident left her paralyzed. Near the time of the accident doctors had told her life was likely only a few months more.

The conversation also moves to and includes her book, ‘My Soul Purpose’. We learn about how the prognosis was reveal, and how Heidi overcame the odds to stand up for the first time 16 years after being told she would never walk again.
Heidi lost both parents not long after her accident, but remained optimistic throughout her life. Ms. Von Beltz passed away in 2015.
