August 5th, 1996. Geraldo Rivera on his namesake talk show brings us a segment from ‘$25,000 to kill my wife’. This begins with an undercover video of the man unwittingly trying to hire a detective to carry out the hit.
“We had a custody case, and I had taken him to court sued him for harassment…from March to February when he was caught, we didn’t hear anything from him..”
The couple share a child and as the segment moves on we learn about the relationship, which began in a whirlwind and may have had warning signs early on. We hear from the convicted man’s father, about how it wasn’t right but he was driven to the act because of her. His former lawyer is also in studio and doesn’t believe he is a risk to anyone.
