May 6th, 1993. Geraldo Rivera’s namesake talk show introduces us to Kristen and Roy, the kicker is Kristen had kids from when she was a man.

Roy, and his friend Don who is now Kristen, review their history together and how they went from long-time buddies to sex change and in a relationship. Kristen has not seen the children from when she was known as Don for four years. Tim, one of those children, does still want to talk to his father and is brought on stage. He is not happy with his father’s transition and considers the woman he has become a total stranger. The segment is closed with acknowledgement that trans-sexual relationships are hardest for any children involved.
