1991. Martin Luther King Jr. assassination, a review of the facts

1991. Geraldo Rivera on his Now It Can Be Told tells us Jesse Jackson wrote the introduction to James Earle Ray’s latest book as we question the facts of MLK Jr.’s killing, and killer.

“I’m standing here on the balcony of the Lorraine motel in Memphis Tennessee, it was on this very spot a little after 5pm on April 4th 1968 that Martin Luther King was shot to death by a single bullet…”

New evidence seems to support James Earle Ray’s claims of relative innocence and point to a conspiracy. Later in the segment we hear from former FBI agent Arthur Murtagh, and wonder about the FBI’s obvious animosity towards Dr. King.

In 1999 the King family filed a civil suit against restaurant owner Lloyd Jowers for participation in conspiracy; they won the suit and the jury found multiple parties including Mr. Jowers were responsible for Martin Luther King Jr’s death.
