June 4th, 1991. Geraldo’s namesake television program hosts Gary Plauche and his son Jody, who was 10 years old when these traumatic events began.

Jody, now about 17, brings us up to date on the story and how he’s been recovering from being molested by a trusted adult. Gary, the father by his side, tells us why he’s choosing now to speak out: maybe other parents will find out more about what could be going on with their kids.
The shooting of Jody’s perpetrator was caught on a camera and a brief clip of that is played at the end of this segment.
Jeffrey Doucet was shot and killed March 16th, 1984, on his way to face trial. Leon Gary Pauche received a suspended sentence, probation, community service but no jail time.
