We learn how researchers are testing apples and what factors are important; shape, color, firmness, bruise damage potential…and that by the time this grant is complete in 1992, it is estimated to cost U.S. tax payers over $718,000.
In 2025 the MAC or Michigan Apple Committee, continues to secure grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, measured in the millions of dollars.
