1988. Geraldo Rivera on his namesake talk show gives insight onto the state of neo-nazism in America, near the 50th anniversary of ‘Kristallnacht’, a pogrom in Nazi Germany.
“We bring you this show today to remind us of that past, and to bring us up to date on what’s happening in the present. They say that sunlight is the best disinfectant.”
We see footage of neo-nazis, speaking about why they are who they are, training camps, marching and chanting. Additionally we hear from the NYC chapter of the “Jewish Defense Organization”, training their members in the use of weapons.
Back in studio we hear from a couple, who along with their baby, were attacked in New York City by five skinheads. The man recounts the experience in detail, and why it doesn’t make sense to him. “…when everybody united from all different parts of the world they made this what they call today America…”
