1985. Pamplona, Spain, running with the bulls, a firsthand look

“To run with the Bulls”

1985. Geraldo Rivera is in Pamplona, Spain, for the annual Bull Run. We meet some of the Americans who make it a regular tradition to come every year. Injuries don’t stop these loyal practitioners from following their passion.

We learn more about the history of the Bull Run, a prayer to the patron saint, and Geraldo’s run begins. Some injuries are shown as 44 people are injured in just one run. Adrenaline and accidents strike but, as the saying goes, “…better than a cup of coffee for a morning pick me up.”

The Bull Run remains popular in 2025, and it has been practiced in Pamplona for more than 500 years.
