1984. In this segment of Canadian documentary series “The Fifth Estate”, we hear from Cecil Kirby, a former affiliate of the Toronto mafia.
“When I hit anybody, they never saw me coming. They never…so much as got a look at my face.”
The conversation continues — what made him decide on cooperating with law enforcement? We hear in detail how he worked with law enforcement to infiltrate organized crime families in Canada and Conneticut, and when they asked him to kill, the ruse law enforcement used to fool the criminals.
Cecil Kirby provided information mainly on members of the Commisso ‘ndrina or ‘The Siderno Group’ which resulted in numerous convictions. Although he was also part of “Satan’s Choice” motorcycle club for many years prior, he provided very little information to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police related to that group.
