1977. Geraldo Rivera on his Good Night America news program has a conversation about UFOs. We start the segment with footage from newsman John Getter of WKEF-TV in Dayton, Ohio and what he believes was a UFO flying across the sky, the sound ‘like a low roaring’.
The segment continues to introduce Academy Award winning actor Cliff Robertson, who claims to have also seen an Unidentified Flying Object. He describes his experience in detail.
Towards the end of the conversation Cliff & Geraldo are joined by Dr. J Allen Hynek, an astronomer and Director of the Center for UFO studies. He sheds light on the broader phenomenon of UFO sightings being reported, and investigated.
In 2025 the term UFO has been replaced with UAP, ‘Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena”.
